- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading :
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
By now almost everyone as read this book and I’m finally picking it up. It’s definitely not what I had expected. But this book is going to take me a while to finish. Mainly because I’m not used to reading the classics but also because my college started again and that is interfering with my reading routines. So I only read a few pages a day, hopefully it’ll be finished by next week.
I am also reading a book I received for review purposes The Farthest City by Daniel P. Swenson and it is really interesting.
One soldier, Sergeant Sheemi Tanamal, experiencing unbearable loss, possessed by her anger, wants as much revenge as she can get before she dies in battle. An unexpected mission changes everything.
Citizen Kellen Beaudin, is a shy, sensitive artist with a different, but equally troubling past. Kellen’s origin is deeply intertwined with the machines, although he doesn’t understand how or why. He learns who he really is when his machine obsession takes him on an incredible journey.
Neither Kellen or Sheemi will ever be the same.
Recently Finished:
The Demon King (Seven Realms #1) by Cinda Williams Chima (Review)
A Dream of Ashes (Chronicles of the Modern Mystics #1) by Orlando Sanchez (Review)
Arcana Rising and Day Zero by Kresley Cole
No one is Invincible by Shawn Walker (Review)
Emmy and Oliver by Robin Benway
Read Next:
Red Rising by Pierce Brown, same as last week. I still haven’t picked it up.

Is the Arcana Chronicles any good? I love Kresley’s IAD series but this one I haven’t been overly excited to read.
I hope you enjoy Red Rising when you get round to it

Oh I love the Arcana Chronicles! The characters are interesting, the whole theme of Arcanas (who are teenagers) with mind blowing powers fighting to be the the last one living! It’s just amazing. And it’s fast paced, so you get right to the action

I may have to give it a shot then. Thanks 🙂

Wow! Another great reading week for you 🙂
Lolita is one of those books I’ve always meant to read but never quite got round to. I hope you feel it’s worth the effort.
Thanks for visiting my WWW (https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2016/08/24/www-wednesday-24th-august-2016/) and happy reading!

It had been sitting on my TBR for so long, I knew I had to pick it up now

From my knowledge of the word “lolita” is it about a young looking woman? Lol I blame my conclusion on watching too much anime. I also recently added A Dream of Ashes to my tbr and I can’t wait to read it.

Yep Lolita is a about a young girl, but mainly it’s about an old man who falls in love with that little girl. Creepy, I know

It was cute and nothing like I expected but I found the main character a bit unoriginal. Almost all the characters were cliché

OH, NO! Maybe I will turn to it for a quick read.

You have read a lot of books this week! They look tempting, too.
It’s been many years since I read Lolita, so I’m thinking it’s time for a reread. Except for the state of my unread books…LOL.
Thanks for sharing, and here’s MY WWW POST

I rarely reread books anymore for the same reason!

I had such a hard time with Lolita! I did not finish the book, it was not my cup of tea. I struggle with classics, so when the story can’t keep me interested, it’s a lost cause! I’ve heard Red Rising is awesome, so I hope you enjoy it 🙂
Happy reading!
