My Ratings: 4/5 stars

Genre: Fantasy

I received a free review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and honest it will be.

About this book:

Temi stood in stunned silence at the sight before her. She had finally come face to face with the man of her dreams….literally. Having slipped through time as a child, she had seen this man on three occasions. Destiny now seemingly fulfilled, this man she recognized from her past travels through time was standing right in front of her, in a small general store, at the foot of the mountain that she called home. But Temi has a secret. She is inextricably linked to the spirit that resides in the heart of the mountain. The time she had spent shifting into her other life as a mountain lion had brought her even closer to the mountain spirit, and she wondered how this man might be part of divine will.

My Review:

Between Two Worlds is a fantasy novel that has elements of time travel and shape-shifting into it.

Written with the alternative point of views, it tells the story of Temi. There is sci-fi mixed with fantasy and with an overall tone of historical fiction. Reading this book gave me an earthy feel, especially with that ‘important’ necklace, a copy of which I held in my hands. It was beautiful.

The writing gets a little repetitive sometimes and the author does info-dump but with the pace and the strong plot, you are willing to overlook these errors.

Plus, the book is just incredible to look at and feel in your hands. While the story and characters captivate your mind, the overall feel captures your heart. There’s suspense and mystery and it is a fast-paced book so my attention didn’t waiver.

I do suggest this book to fantasy lovers. And I’ll be personally looking out for the sequel.
