Beautiful book covers and Books to wait for.

Today in My Rambling I’m going to talk about these beautiful books that are absolutely worth waiting for.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare March 8th : Anything by Cassandra Clare is worth reading and I’m excited to get more of the Shadow world. Also, look at the cover.. Wow!

It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses.
Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions…

A court of mist and fury by Sarah J Mass May 3 2016 : Sarah J Mass has become my Auto-buy author and I will read all her books. I enjoyed A court of Thorns and Roses. And I want to know more about Rhysand and it seems like he’ll be a major part of this book. Can I have it already?

Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court–but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.
Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms–and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future–and the future of a world cleaved in two.

The problem with forever Jennifer L Armentrout  May 17 : I just found the cover to be quite beautiful and a contemporary romance by Jennifer L Armentrout is just the kind of book I like after tiresome days.

For some people, silence is a weapon. For Mallory “Mouse” Dodge, it’s a shield. Growing up, she learned that the best way to survive was to say nothing. And even though it’s been four years since her nightmare ended, she’s beginning to worry that the fear that holds her back will last a lifetime.
Now, after years of homeschooling with loving adoptive parents, Mallory must face a new milestone—spending her senior year at public high school. But of all the terrifying and exhilarating scenarios she’s imagined, there’s one she never dreamed of—that she’d run into Rider Stark, the friend and protector she hasn’t seen since childhood, on her very first day.

Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
August 30 2016 : After reading Shatter me series, I’ve been wanting to read more of her writings and this just seemed like a good choice.

The bestselling author of the Shatter Me series takes readers beyond the limits of their imagination in this captivating new middle grade adventure where color is currency, adventure is inevitable, and friendship is found in the most unexpected places.
There are only three things that matter to twelve-year-old Alice Alexis Queensmeadow: Mother, who wouldn’t miss her; magic and color, which seem to elude her; and Father, who always loved her. The day Father disappears from Ferenwood he takes nothing but a ruler with him. But it’s been almost three years since then, and Alice is determined to find him. She loves her father even more than she loves adventure, and she’s about to embark on one to find the other.

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.  (Six of Crows #2) September 22 2016
Six of Crows was AMAZING. And it ended in sort of a cliffhanger so of course I want this book. And Leigh Bardugo is another one of my favorite authors. (I have a lot of favorites)

Kaz Brekker and his crew have just pulled off a heist so daring even they didn’t think they’d survive. But instead of divvying up a fat reward, they’re right back to fighting for their lives. Double-crossed and left crippled by the kidnapping of a valuable team member, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties. A war will be waged on the city’s dark and twisting streets―a battle for revenge and redemption that will decide the fate of magic in the Grisha world.

Bright Smoke, Cold Fire by Rosamund Hodge.  September 27 2016: It seems like I’m repeating myself doesn’t it? It’s the author that makes me want to read all these books. I’ve enjoyed the previous books so I want the new ones. But honestly I have read the blurbs and yes I find these books interesting and THAT is why they’re on my list.

When the mysterious fog of the Ruining crept over the world, the living died and the dead rose. Only the walled city of Viyara was left untouched.
The heirs of the city’s most powerful—and warring—families, Mahyanai Romeo and Juliet Catresou share a love deeper than duty, honor, even life itself. But the magic laid on Juliet at birth compels her to punish the enemies of her clan—and Romeo has just killed her cousin Tybalt. Which means he must die.
Paris Catresou has always wanted to serve his family by guarding Juliet. But when his ward tries to escape her fate, magic goes terribly wrong—killing her and leaving Paris bound to Romeo. If he wants to discover the truth of what happened, Paris must delve deep into the city, ally with his worst enemy . . . and perhaps turn against his own clan.

The Black Key by Amy Ewing (The Lone City, #3)  October 4 2016
Last book in the Lone city (or so I think)  But after reading The White Rose, I just have to have this! And just look at that cover. Isn’t it gorgeous?

For too long, Violet and the people of the outer circles of the Lone City have lived in service to the royalty of the Jewel. But now the secret society known as the Black Key is preparing to seize power.
And while Violet knows she is at the center of this rebellion, she has a more personal stake in it—her sister, Hazel, has been taken by the Duchess of the Lake. Now, after fighting so hard to escape the Jewel, Violet must do everything in her power to return to save not only Hazel, but the future of the Lone City.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer
November 8 2016 : It’s a story about The Queen lf hearts from Alice in Wonderland. And we all know Marissa Meyer is excellent with her modern twists on classic fairy tales. (The Lunar Chronicles prove it). So here we are, another book worth waiting for.

Long before she was the terror of Wonderland — the infamous Queen of Hearts — she was just a girl who wanted to fall in love.
Catherine may be one of the most desired girls in Wonderland, and a favorite of the yet-unmarried King of Hearts, but her interests lie elsewhere. A talented baker, all she wants is to open a shop with her best friend and supply the Kingdom of Hearts with delectable pastries and confections. But according to her mother, such a goal is unthinkable for the young woman who could be the next Queen.
At a royal ball where Cath is expected to receive the king’s marriage proposal, she meets Jest, the handsome and mysterious court joker. For the first time, she feels the pull of true attraction. At the risk of offending the King and infuriating her parents, she and Jest enter into an intense, secret courtship.
Cath is determined to define her own destiny and fall in love on her terms. But in a land thriving with magic, madness, and monsters, fate has other plans

And that is the list. Do you like any of these books and are waiting for them as well? Do comment.

Love, Alex 🙂

Sooo many books I need to read on this list! I’m so, so excited about Lady Midnight, I have it on pre-order and I’m counting down the days! ❤ I have a very big obsession with anything Cassandra Clare writes. I still have a Court of Thorns and Roses on my shelf waiting to be read, so I need to hurry up and read it before the next book comes out! I'm really excited about Heartless too, November seems sooo long away 😦
